Our Neighborhood and Environment
We are part of a large community. And we take our responsibility seriously to be good global citizens & neighbors. Where we operate, we want to be welcomed. We can make positive changes by encouraging our partners and the community to do good. Our responsibility – and our potential to do good – is even greater. Weberei Pahl also stands for professional standards.

Sustainable environmental and climate protection as well as resource efficiency are important corporate goals for us. Both in the development of new products and services and in the operation of production facilities, we ensure that all resulting effects on the environment and climate are kept as low as possible and that our products make a positive contribution to environmental and climate protection for our customers. Every employee bears responsibility for treating natural resources carefully and contributing to the protection of the environment and climate through their individual behavior.
Our commitment to reducing and avoiding hazardous chemicals, especially in wet processes during the production of our products, deserves special mention. This is also in line with our efforts to avoid unnecessary water consumption and the possible water pollution that this may cause. At the same time, we strive for a continuous reduction of our CO2 footprint. In doing so, we look beyond our own processes to the entire life cycle of our products.
Our Actions:

For many years we have been operating our site in Külsheim CO2-neutral – thanks to electricity generation from a photovoltaic system on the roof of our company. This system produced around 51% more electricity in 2022 than we need ourselves at our Külsheim site. In total, this means a reduction of 128 tons of CO2 in 2022.

We see ourselves as an active member of society and therefore engage in various ways. We make donations and other forms of social engagement solely in the company's interest. We do not make financial contributions, in particular donations and sponsoring measures to political parties at home and abroad, party-affiliated or party-like organizations, individual mandate holders or candidates for political office.

We are proud to report that our support of regional club work continues to bear fruit. In addition to a championship celebration, growth of young people can be recorded in all areas. This naturally spurs us on to continue supporting these important voluntary actors.

For many years we have also been actively engaged in supporting regional club work, in particular some amateur sports teams in our region as well as sporting events.
The aim is to support the recreational character on the one hand, but also to promote youth work.
Of course, we also support any form of voluntary commitment by our own employees and even have an active youth trainer in our own management ranks.
On an occasion-related basis, we naturally also do our social part and support pragmatically and unbureaucratically, whether in refugee waves, pandemics, wars or natural disasters.

We conduct political interest representation centrally, openly and transparently. We follow the legal requirements for lobbying and avoid under all circumstances improper influence on politics and legislation. We observe the Code of Conduct for Members of the European Parliament and voluntarily join the German or EU lobby register when necessary.
